Hahaha, I find this quote very funny. I like how its just known that USC has a cupcake schedule year in and year out so it's a known fact they are going to the title game. Honestly, put Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Florida State, Miami, and Virgina Tech in that same schedule and tell me 90% of those teams won't go undefeated? Can you imagine if LSU played that every year?
Yes, USC's schedule is a cake walk but he isn't saying that one of the other teams (including LSU) wouldn't go undefeated there. He is insulting every school outside of USC & saying that it doesn't matter who makes it to the title game to play them because USC will win anyway. I suppose drama sells so I don't take it too seriously, but... come on.
atleast they play a somewhat ballsy non conference schedule. Lets think of the situation they are in, they have won 2 straight titles of some sort. They play a soft regular season slate, but atleast they have an SEC team, Hawaii who is better that a lot of other out of conference games for some big name schools (even though they lose chang) and Notre Dame who will be improved under Weiss. So, atleast they play some "name" games in the non conference. Last year they put it all on the line to start the year, in a VT partial environment. You have to give them credit there.
You have officially lost your mind. A ballsy schedule? Holy crap, that's crazy. Hawaii and Notre Dame???
What I don't like is that in order to build up the conference, the media talks about USC's road schedule this year. Come on, does Oregon really stand a shot?
I just find it funny how he knows not one team on USC schedule could jeopardize there chance to play in the title game.
I said somewhat ballsy. I mean hey, its not UNT or Appy state, but its decent. I mean not all big name schools can play Appy state. Sorry. I didnt mean that it is a dominant out of conference schedule, but they are playing other name schools. Plus, the Pac 10 could be somewhat improved this year. ND will be a better team. Mark my word. They will win 7 or 8 games.I have a hunch on that one. I know they play a soft conference slate, but thats the hand they are dealt. USC the last 2 years has had talent to compete with any big conference in the nation. Big 12, SEC, Big 10. They've shown it by beating Michigan in the Rose and dismantling OK in the Bowl last year.
Sorry Auburn guy, I know that not every team has the talent to go 13-0 and not play for the title. Plus, I'll defend LSU on this one and say, that game should have gone to OT last year where you may have lost. But, no need to look at ifs and buts.
