with 30,000 people in dire straights close to the LSU campus. I just cannot see it. In addition, I don't think it is right. While I think the diversion would be good for everyone, it's just not right.

I do not think classes will start until those refugees are outside of LSU's campus. The students are at too much of a risk. O'Keefe is certainly doing whatever he can to get those people moved.

Now this is only a rumor but I heard they may be thinking about canceling school for this semester. I took that comment with a grain of salt but the possibility may be out there.

and you purpetrating this rumor will just spread it... next we will hear that LSU is donating the campus for housing... if you hear a rumor, dont spread it, keep it to yourself and let the people who know what the hell they are talking about handle things.

You know, I can't believe I am saying this, but cancelling LSU FB this fall would not be the end of the world. There are a few trains of thought here. As politicians will ultimately decide LSU's fate, the games won't be played unless there is an uproar for them to proceed. IMO, LSU can:

    1. Cancel FB until further notice when the disaster relief effort is under control. That means a minimum of 1 month with no games & a cancellation of September games. This includes a week-to-week scenario for school & FB.

    2. Play the games elsewhere or away once school starts up again, leaving LSU & Tiger Stadium for emergency use in disaster relief.

    3. Play the games as scheduled and make up the NT game later.

LSU would be an inspiration to America and the people of Louisiana as they played on and showed the rest of the planet that SPIRIT AND DETERMINATION THAT IS THE HEART AND SOUL OF LOUISIANA. I have no doubt a fired up LSU team that spent their spare time working with disaster victims would rise up on game days and give 110% accounting of themselves. LSU opponents wouldn't stand a chance. I say dedicate this season to those who have died in this tragedy and continue on. I also want to see the Saints play in Tiger Stadium. I also want to see Nick Saban walk in front of 92,000 screaming fans again. These things would help to erase the horror and shock in the minds of others in this world who are looking at Louisiana.

No possibility whatsoever that LSU FB season will be cancelled. None. No major D1 University would do that either.

I cant forsee them throwing away the whole season. It's to costly. Plus, LSU means too much to the community. I could see them cancelling AZST and even having school cancelled for another week +, but they need football.

Call me greedy and an ******* all you want but we need LSU football and we need it next week at TS. People will just need to be inconvenienced and if that means taking buses to TS and no tailgating on campus then so be it. It is time to try to get back to some sense of normalcy and we as a people need the diversion. Light me up, I don't care. I am ready to see football.
