in the rear for letting Chase Pittman get away. He has been all over the field this year. I really like how Pelini uses him all over the line and in the standing position sometimes. He has been a huge disruptive force all season. Meyer even made a point to tell him how good a game he played after the game. Pittman was walking to the tunnel and Meyer turned him around and told him something and it looked like Pittman said "Thanks coach".
Am I the only one that thinks for the most part Chase has been a disapointment? Was it the ASU game that he didnt even register a statistic? I know I am being a "downer" and I like Chase, and I think that he played awesome today. Hopefully he will play like he did today for the rest of the year.
Texas' defense is doing just fine without him. Possibly the best D in the country this year. But Texas had to let him go if he wanted to. I'm not sure that he really wanted to live in the shadow of his brother for four years.
Texas is not even close to having the best D in the country. What offensive juggernaut have you stopped Ohio St. :hihi: :hihi: Even though I cant stand USC I almost hope ya'll play them in the Rose Bowl. Leinart will hang 60 on that sorry D of yours.
The last 3 games Chase has been all over the field and all over the QB. I'm not sure what you expected but he has played pretty good ball lately.
I am certainly not one to throw bouquets in the direction of utexas, but in this case, I will. brown did not have to give Chase an unconditional release from ut, and he did, without knowing where Chase would end up. A class act deserves acknowledgement.
Would've been a recruiting disaster if he hadn't released Chase considering what happened to his brother. It was a no-brainer.
