Like a bunch of other AU fans yesterday, I was (it literally sickens me to type this) actually hoping for an Alabama victory. I was NOT CHEERING, understand? But I went against all that I know to be right, and still hoped they could somehow squeak out a win. I will never do that again. I feel dirty and ashamed. I was blinded by greed for the SEC Championship game, and I let it affect my judgement.

Once again, please forgive me. I am glad your tigers won - no matter what. I don't care if I have to watch LSU play in Atlanta. Nothing is worse than hoping for a Bama win.

Nice win for the LSU Tigers. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Good luck in Atlanta, and see you on the Plains next year. I'm looking forward to that one.

I think if I remember far enough back, I've done the same thing before also. Pulled for a team I didn't like, cause a win helped my situation. It's not an ethical delima, just a personal one. Been there, done that.

Just look at it this way: At least it gives you even MORE ammunition to hate 'Bama--they screwed you guys out of a possible Back-to-back West title! :thumb:

Believe me, there have been many Iron Bowls where LSU fans had to swallow some pride to root for the team they disliked more (for me that would be AMAB--I had 2 brothers go to Auburn) to help LSU out. The only times I remember it working was in 86 (for Auburn haters) & 01 (for AMAB haters).

I'm just glad the Iron Bowl means nothing to us this year.

    what exactly is AMAB?

I guess it's just BAMA spelled backwards...not sure what the joke in that is....

I 've never hated Auburn More than Bama. and any fan of LSU that is over 25 and remembers Cholly Mac and Bear Bryant days, probably doesn't either.

I hate Bama almost as bad as Ole Miss.

if it weren't for Bama, LSU would have probably won a couple more championships through the years. SEC and possibly NC. True dat.

It's the way their cheerleaders spelled BAMA during one of the timeouts of the 87 SEC BB Tourny Final. They each had 1 card and lined up wrong. Tried to fix it by swapping the A's.
