I know ya'll are, too. I wish that I could personally shake hands with each player and each coach, and tell them how much I appreciate their effort and achievements this season. I would tell them that there were times during this season that were very tough for me personally . . . but every time things were tough, the 2006/2007 LSU Tiger football team and coaches cheered me up. Winning this Sugar Bowl has made me SO proud of our kids, our coaches and our program . . . that I struggle to find the right words to express my pride and gratitude. And if I could say it to Coach Miles, I would shake his hand, look him in the eye, and say: "The thanks and appreciation go DOUBLE for you, Coach." I will remember this victory for the rest of my life. LSU! :crystal:
Great Post Jean Lafitte! I had me some fun at work today. All my football fan buddies came by to congratulate me on the Tigers efforts. They were glad to see ND get beaten, and all were impressed with JaMarcus and our receivers. It was nice. We have a Bama guy, and a Gator alum, and they were pulling for LSU.
It was really nice wearing my colors around Denver today! Even had an Irish fan with a hat on come and shake hands with me. I really respect that guy for wearing that hat after last night, a true fan. He said Ohio State wouldn't have a chance against us. I like that guy! I am also really happy for JR. He really earned that Sugarbowl MVP! ONE MORE YEAR!!!!!!!!
I couldn't wear my LSU gear to work today, but I did have on a purple shirt. All the Bama and Barn fans, made their way to my desk today to congrats our team. My pride was showing. Everyone was really impressed with the Tigers. I really have to think, from all I heard that we are the pride of the SEC today. Now if the Gators.... well I think I gotta pull for them....we may have to take a backseat this year, but hopefully not next.
I had a similiar experience at work. Our new division president was visiting our facility today and my boss introduced me as the resident Bayou Bengal #1 Tiger fan in the building. The pres congratulated me on the win, said he watched the game and was impressed, particularly with JR and our receivers.
Although I didn't get much sleep last night I was in a great mood after that game last night. THe good thing about where I work just about every wall is lined with autographs with former LSU players. It's like freaking museum in there. Despite the insane amount of work I have going on I had a great day knowing we crushed the Irish.
