As the coaching merry-go-round winds down and there are practically no good (unemployed) coaches left, what viable options would this leave LSU? Do you think we would/could try to hire someone away from their current program? With our program in its current state, certainly there are many coaches who would jump at the opportunity. Who do you think would make a good candidate?

    I'd want Butch Davis.

only thing i dont like about davis is the fact that he used to coach at miami, back when miami football players were a notorious bunch of thugs. cokers the only one to have instilled any shred of discipline around there. now that we've gotten so used to very intelligent/disciplined players, i dont think that would be as good a fit.

The thugs were the Johnson/Erickson days, Davis started to turn the program around. He also recruited Louisiana well when he was at Miami I believe.

Totally disagree. Johnson and Erickson ran a thug program, but after Miami's run in with the NCAA, Davis was hired to clean it up. Coker has continued what Davis started.
