    The Weather Channel's reporter in Morgan City is almost within rock throwing distance of my house (when the wind gets up to about 110, it will be rock throwing distance, I guess). So far, so good is what she says, along with what I'm hearing from people who stayed. A long way to go, though.

    Just talked with my Mom in Baton Rouge and they lost power about 30 mins ago and have kicked the generator on. She said there were lots of limbs down but she didn't know how hard the winds were blowing.
