Saban was scheduled to go to Miami today for a press conference but he notified them yesterday that he wants to wait and focus 100% on the LSU bowl game.

FWIW, he also mentioned he didn't want to draw any attention from the interim coach, Bates.

Is it Saban flexing his NFL muscle or him wanting to remain focused on the Tigers? It's got to mean something to the team that he decided to stay in Orlando with them and tell Huizenga if he wanted a signed contract he needed to come to him. I'll bet the Dolphin faithful are fuming but I believe it is the least Nick could do for the team.

(I read that) Huizenga said that after all they went through to get Saban he wasn't going to just fax the contract to him. WH appears to be perfectly fine with Saban's decision to focus entirely on LSU this week. Again, people are trying to create a story where none exists. Saban would not want to coach LSU this week if he wasn't entirely focused on the issue at hand. It's just the way he is.

You are correct, LSU needs NS for this game much more than the Dolphins do until Saturday.
Give me a break, NS can't do anything to help the Dolphins until after the season is over anyway.

The whole thing with him going to Miami today was only for show.
I like the idea of him sticking to his commitment to this team, the fans, the school until Saturday.
