1. Dude has a pretty well-documented past of getting into trouble. I believe he had a restraining order placed on him back in his Miami days. Then he got into a bad bar fight in Baton Rouge. These two events occurred back in 1991 and 1992. He was in his early 30s at the time. I can't say therefore that it was "youthful indiscretions" unless you use the very generous George W. Bush or David Duke standards of that term, but it was a long time ago and nothing like that has occurred since.

Personally, if he'd swallow his pride and agree to it, I'd love to have him as a position coach.
  2. If we "had" To hire a new coach I would like to see Wil Muschamp hired. IMO he is the reason AU wins the big games that they win. I would think other colleges would take notice of him. I think he would be a good one.
  3. I can deal with bar fights and DUIs if he stays out of trouble. But a man who beats women is the scum of the earth who usually don't alter their behavior once that line is crossed.
  4. Didn't he try to persuade some Tulane players to transfer to Ole Miss right after Katrina?
  5. Ed as an assistant? Absolutely, yes. A no brainer to me, given his intensity, ability to recruit, and SEC and Louisiana roots.

Had me scared there for a minute with that lead-up that you were going to go the "Oge for HC" route.
