Dude has a pretty well-documented past of getting into trouble. I believe he had a restraining order placed on him back in his Miami days. Then he got into a bad bar fight in Baton Rouge. These two events occurred back in 1991 and 1992. He was in his early 30s at the time. I can't say therefore that it was "youthful indiscretions" unless you use the very generous George W. Bush or David Duke standards of that term, but it was a long time ago and nothing like that has occurred since. Personally, if he'd swallow his pride and agree to it, I'd love to have him as a position coach.
If we "had" To hire a new coach I would like to see Wil Muschamp hired. IMO he is the reason AU wins the big games that they win. I would think other colleges would take notice of him. I think he would be a good one.
I can deal with bar fights and DUIs if he stays out of trouble. But a man who beats women is the scum of the earth who usually don't alter their behavior once that line is crossed.
Ed as an assistant? Absolutely, yes. A no brainer to me, given his intensity, ability to recruit, and SEC and Louisiana roots. Had me scared there for a minute with that lead-up that you were going to go the "Oge for HC" route.
