Have not seen any comments on the new stadium west upper.

Can people that went to the game give an assessment of the new area.

you know those screens that they have that go around the middle of most basketball arenas like in New orleans? They have that covering a good chunk of the sides of both upper decks looks very cool. makes up somewhat for the loss of the welcome to death valley sign. everything else looks fine and on time.

THe new signs are cool, how about showing some damn stats on them everyonce in a while. I thought they were supposed to provide information, but all they did all night were flash advertisements.

Thats all that those types of signs do. Have you been to a Hornets game, they get annoying as hell. What the need to do is create a graphic to flash on it just like the Welcome to Death Valley sign.

First off, it was a pain the butt to get to our seats because everyone had to use the elevators. Odd, huh? Someone complaining about using an elevator rather than walk up the ramps...but I wanted to make sure I was in my seat for pre-game (which I was, so that makes the whole elevator thing moot). ...but there was ZERO attendants explaining anything to anyone--No one told us to definately use the elevators, or if there was access to the ramps, where they were found. Instead, my dad and I walked around the base of the new upper for about 15 minutes (we didn't want to have to wait in the long lines leading to the elevator if we could just walk up).

Once we were up to the top, RIGHT at the opening of the elevators was, from what I could tell, the only concession stand open for the game (though there are other stands built--they just weren't being used), so EVERYONE was jam-packed in that one little area.

I was disappointed with some fans inability to LISTEN! There was a "temporary" wall up on the main concourse section of the new upper deck and they were telling people to NOT smoke near it (as it was lined with fiber board) and to NOT lean on the thing because it was temporary and sure enough, you have people hanging on it--some even walked right up to it and leaned on it to smoke even after the security guy told them to stay back. :dis: It even led me to ask a lady, who, after being told twice to get back from the wall but walked right back to it as soon as security walked off, I asked her, "How old are you that you can't listen?" ...she never gave a response. Just walked away shaking her head.
