For now, set aside the questions about Bush's National Guard service and read the headlines about Iraq, instead: Newsweek: "It's worse than you think." The Guardian: "An unprecedented disaster." Associated Press: "Iraq prospects bleak" This invasion of Iraq is turning into the most colossal military and foreign policy blunder in this country's history. A year after Rumsfeld declared that the insurgents were a dead-end few, and after Bush invited them to shoot at our troops with his cheap bravado "Bring 'em on", entire cities in Iraq have now fallen under the control of the insurgents, whose numbers are steadily increasing. What's worse is that while we exhaust ourselves trying to futilely quash the Iraq insurgency, whole regions in Afghanistan are reverting back to Taliban rule. Bush lied when he stood atop the WTC rubble and promised to punish the perpetrators. Instead, he diverted our manpower, money, and other resources from the capture of Bin Laden and Omar to wage a disastrous vendetta against Saddam. Now, his bravado talk of 9/14/2001 has been exposed for what it always was: cheap talk from a phony cowboy blowhard. Even if we grant that Bush's motives for invading Iraq were completely innocent (laughable, sure, but let's proceed), military experts tell us now that the occupation is doomed to failure, and terrorism experts say that the Iraq war has only made terrorism prospects worse by making it easier for Al Qaeda to recruit. Even if we grant that Bush's motives for invading Iraq were completely innocent, he is still responsible for the disaster, and should be held accountable. Bush listened to the pro-Israel neocons who thought American democracy could be easily exported to that part of the world. Did he even consider that the people of Iraq would consider it a religious duty to fight against foreign occupiers, regardless of what help we might have given them to oust Saddam? Did he even consider that the Iraqis would feel they owe us nothing in return for that ouster, since Saddam's very ascendancy to power owed much to American help in the first place? Even if we grant that Bush's motives for invading Iraq were completely innocent, how can we trust the judgement of a man who got us into this unwinnable quagmire? How much money and how many soldiers' lives do we allow this talentless and obtuse buffoon to spend before we say enough is enough?

If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Keep posting, Rex, we may find out. :thumb:
Tirk no offence, your little drawing is cute and all, but can I talk to that other little picture? Please!!!!!!!! :yelwink2:
Guys, Rex's post is right on. Bush lied to the American people. It's so obvious! Great, we invaded Iraq. Can we send more than 3 people to look for Osama? Why is Bush executing innocent Americans every single day in Iraq? Does he even remember 9/11? HELLO, Mr. President! Osama killed thousands of Americans and all you're concerned about is Iraq? Oil talks, BS walks
Well being a southern gentleman, I wanted to introduce myself, before "I INTRODUCE MYSELF". You young' ens
