How many of the new recruits will be red-shirted? Since Corey Webster is getting involved with the offense, does that mean that Nick wants to red-shirt some of the younger talent? I'd say Nick redshirts 75% of them. LSU is very deep this year at many positions. Receivers will surely get a chance to play as will several linemen. But most of them could use a year learning the system before expending any of their eligibility on the third string.
Until they get in camp and work out against other college players no one really knows how any of these guys will do to tell you the truth. I really doubt that we have several lineman play, maybe a couple, unless we have injuries galore like UGA did last season. We do have many stud lineman who redshirted last season and also a bunch of sophs that haven't seen action yet. I think that 2 of the WR's get to see action for sure, the rest is a crapshoot at this point. Maybe at LB as we are kind of thin there also and it looks like Highsmith is already in the mix, does Kuale get playing time? Wroten and Stevenson will not redshirt.
I do not see any cc transfers redshirting. The rest is anyone quess. You just can not tell who is going to step up.
... exactly... No one would have guessed (unless they were lucky) before last season that true freshman Justin Vincent would be the deal ... the MVP of the SEC championship and National champoinship.... ... mabe there will be more of that this year
