I have not heard how many fans we will have at the game. A poster on an Arizona board said they think we will bring in over 8k. If we bring in 8k or more that will be great since Baton Rouge is so far away. Well I guess alot of California and Arizona Tiger Alumni's will be at the game. This is one of their only chances to see the Tigers play on the West Coast. Everybody that is going to the game, represent the Purple and Gold proud. Show those Zona fans how we tailgate at LSU. We need to bring our tailgating A game.
8000+ true Tiger fans should create enough noise to make it seem like a home game for us...especially if we jump on 'em quickly. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!ldskule:
You're welcome. One of my fondest memories of LSU is attending the '79 LSU-USC game. I've never been in a louder place. The stadium seemed to thrum from all of the energy of the fans. I doubt any USC fan in attendance went home unchanged by the experience. Even last year, at the Cotton Bowl, even after the loss, the Tiger fans were far more vocal and excited. Be proud Tiger, and SEC fans, we are a special bunch.
From the article: "LSU plays at Death Valley. In the Pac-10, Cal plays at Strawberry Canyon." Boy, what an intimidating stadium name!
That was an awesome article. I hope we travel big...it seems that we are expected to and i hope we don't dissappoint. We have to show them how the SEC does it.
Great story. I liked these two quotes: 1- At LSU, Halloween is Heisman winner Billy Cannon's 89-yard punt return to beat Ole Miss on Oct. 31, 1958, the most enduring play in school history. At Arizona, Halloween is Oct. 31, 1992, when Desert Swarm, coming off three straight victories over Top 25 teams and an 8-7 loss to No. 1 Miami, drew 38,463, their smallest crowd since 1985. 2- In the SEC, an under-the-microscope football coach got fired for partying when out of town. In the Pac-10, the same coach went on for 14 seasons without being recognized outside the city limits.
