I'm just curious how long this coaching rumor mill will grind? Is it going to be a few more days, or a few more weeks? I don't believe Saban is going to leave, but I'm preparing myself for that possibilty. One way or another I would like for what ever happens to happen soon so we can move on and get going with the rest of the offseason.
In the Times Pic today it said Saban is staying at LSU. Said family is happy and he is happy. Its on the front page of the paper if you havent seen it.
I dont care whats in the TP because Saban hasnt made up his mind. How can a paper know what he's going to do when he doesnt know himself at this point? I dont think he is leaving but I also dont think that decision has been made 100%. We'll see, this should all come to a head within a few days, one way or the other.
He will sign the new LSU contract by no later than wednesday. He wants this out of the way so that the last of the recruits are not affected by it.
Gentlemen, I've posted something similar before. I believe Coach Saban will be back as our coach. I believe that if Early announces his commitment to LSU, we can consider Saban staying at LSU. These recruits and their family are not dumb. Parents are going to want to know who will be looking out for their sons. They will ask Saban directly. It's a big change from HS to college. I know the interest my wife and I took for our son & daughter going to college, and they are not sports stars. This National Championship has been attributed to Nick Saban. We know it's a total team effort, but we're all humans, Nick was the fuel that made the engine run. To the athletes, Saban’s ties to the NFL can only help them make a dream come true. If Early commits to Miami, then I’ll be concerned. Look out if X-Carter commits! I’ll believe it’s a done deal that Saban stays!
