IMO if we don't make it out of the regionals this year, Smoke has got to go. If we make the CWS he obviously stays, and if we make it to the Supers but lose it would depend upon the circumstances. IMO, if we get homefield in the supers and lose then Smoke should go. Thoughts?

It won't matter. Smoke will keep his job.

Perhaps the question should be "How far do we need to go for us to not want Smoke fired?"

I am not gonna make decisions on Smoke keeping, or not keeping his job, before the season even starts. A lot of variables come into play.

One of the first to pop into my mind is what if the Tigers end up with several, or even a few, key players with injuries? If so, and they still make it to, but not out of, the Regionals, it could be considered a great year. However, if they keep everyone healthy and don't even make it to the SEC tourney, then I would probably be inclined to say something is wrong.

I prefer to see (or in my case hear) a few games before I start playing the "who should be coach" game.

Smoke's job is not in danger. Just my opinion.

It will only be in danger if he loses another regional again.

well with chris jackson out for the season, its certainly a bad bad start. he was the proverbial spark plug to this team.

looks like okie was prophetic in her injury comments.

I would think that if we do not make it to Omaha Smoke's job would be in jeopardy.:tigerhead
