How does the reputation thing work?

I looked and don't see a questions/suggestion forum here so if this is the wrong place, I am sorry.

Can someone explain to me how the reputation thing works? Can I see if/when someone leaves rep for me?

At the top, click on control panel, then master control panel. Folk don't have to leave names or comments, but can if they like.

 

Thanks! Tough room here... got a bunch of negative reps for thinking that the 2 losses this year will make LSU a better team in the future... of course those that left it didn't leave a name.... the word PUSSIES comes to mind...

I don't think that "Registered Guests" can see who leaves reputation...

 

It doesn't.. people hit you up with green or red w/o having to show their handle. So it has less to do with approval or disapproval of your post and more to do with strange teenage-like behavior...


It was much better when your handle was included with the rep points given out..

 

yeah, why did they change that..? what was the reasoning?

 

check the archives, there was a thread or two covering the subject when it changed...

 

the reasoning was to eliminate "revenge"....say I left you some neg rep for a post you made, well you may get mad and leave me some neg rep to just to do it!! We wanted to eliminate that type of stuff and thought this may be the answer.....well, its gotten mixed feedback.

When I leave rep now, I always include my name with the comment.....whether it be postive or negative rep....I don't want to hide, if I strongly disagree with a post I will let them know and also let them know who I am.

 

I'm sure Kajun is smart enough to know I'm not talking about him. :dis: You people are exhausting.
