I bolded the games that I feel we need to win. they are the marquee matchups and the road games. If we win all these games, the team is solid. Those are some tough games ahead and we have lost to tough teams this year. But, we need to find our shot and be able to shoot from the outside. Let's finish strong!

Well really even the MSU and USC games are important as well. But i think its safe to say that we won't win all the games you bolded. We have lost to tough teams this year, but a couple weren't even close. Last year was different, we lost 5 games in the beginning by a total of 11 points or so to some very very good teams (Uconn, Ohio State, etc). I start to wonder how we even beat A&M this year as well.
The SEC truly is much tougher this year when you look at the schedule there are no gimmies anywhere at all. I'm really looking forward to seeing the team improve but they haven't. I can't remember the last game they shot over 40%from the field...

Unless this team can suddenly start shooting the ball they will be in the nit. They may not reach 8-8 in sec play. I hope they prove me wrong because I am a big hoops fan.

I agree. LSU doesn't have one game-breaking outside shooter. I will watch the games that come on in my neck of the woods. But, it becomes infuriating after a while when we miss so many open shots. Also, has anyone ever noticed that nearly every team we play will get hot shooting 3 pointers. Some of those outside shot honestly seem like pure luck, and when a team is hot on them, it sometimes seems like they could shoot from half court with their eyes closed and make it. Sure hope things change.

just under 40% the last two games
45.7% against ole miss (3 games ago)
41.1% against auburn (4 games ago)

i think its still reasonable to hope for W's at home (except UF) and road W's against AU, OM, UT and MSU. results in 9-7 with notable wins over uconn, txam, ark, bama, ut, and ncaa tourney entry. itll be much tighter than that though. the team will play better (than current expectations) in a few games and squeak in the tourney with a low seed and get spanked by a good team. we can always hope for a good matchup and a shooter with a hot hand

I saw a spark in the team in the last 7 minutes of the game last night. Maybe it was a turning point. I will remain optimistic.
