I feel like I just went 12 rounds with the Tigers defensive unit? I'm hoarse, sore and tired. My stomach still hasn't unknotted and it hasn't fully hit me yet. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same...
I didn't sit down for hours............................... From pregame until after the game, pacing back and forth
I was JUST about to post something along these same lines. I was up at 9 AM yesterday morning, ran errands getting things for my Sugar Bowl party in which I cooked a gumbo, jambalaya, fried some fish, had an LSU king cake shipped up here over-night, bought a dozen purple and gold balloons that decorated every piece of furniture that was able to hold balloons. I paced, I stood, I screamed and I cheered. I stayed up well past 1 AM eastern time--just to watch every highlight, every interview and every post-game analysis that I possibly could. I'm beat. ...but satisfied and THRILLED to be a Tiger fan! ...but yeah, I'm with the rest of you! I feel like Lionel Turner just hit me on a delayed blitz! ...I've got such a hang-over that this work day is just BRUTAL! I'm just trying my best to make it through the day so that I can go home and go to bed!
I feel like thirty dudes just beat the shit out of me...I will take weeks to get my body back to normal with all the drinking and then the stress of the game.
I'M SORE TOO Yep, my whole body is sore. I can hardly talk. Was up half the night answering the phone from friends, some I hadn't even talked to in several years called to say hello and congrats. My wife said I paced the floor more than when she was delivering our two kids! I would have taken today off from work but had to come in just to show my pride in wearing my LSU stuff. Flags are still on the cars and house and will be for some time to come! GEAUX TIGERS!
This is freakin' hilarious. Sounds like we're all in exactly the same shape. My voice is gone, my neck is killing me as I stare at this computer screen, and the two breakfast tacos I ate earlier have been playing peek-a-boo with my throat all morning. I ain't hit a lick at a snake at work this morning, nor do I intend to. And yet, in spite of the fact that I'm sorer than a one armed well digger, I've never felt better in my life. I've tasted a lot of sugar, but never any this sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
What a wonderful hangover !!!!! My stomach has been doing flip flops since the 1st quarter of the game. I'm still looking for the mack truck that ran over me. I can hardly talk. I didn't even drink that much. I'm never taking my LSU flags down, ever ! It's unbelievable ! HOW SWEEEEEEEEEEET IT IS !!!! NATIONAL CHAMPIONS !!!!!!
I'm still in that little area between disbelief and excitment -- it's a whole big mix of things. All I know is that I'm exhusted and I'm so happy I had the forsight to take today off so I can rest.
