In almost every post I've read about the bowl game everyone is calling Flynn our starter. Has anyone seen anything official on JR's injury? I read in one thread that he was seen at the Saints game with his arm in a sling. Anybody have anything?

I don't think anyone knows for sure. But the fact of the matter is that even if he CAN play, He shouldn't. Win or lose this game our season is what it is. Flynn deserves a chance to shine, and JR deserves a chance to heal properly.

I dislocated my shoulder in '95, never did anything but rest it even though the docs said I should have surgery. To this day I still have problems with it coming out of socket. If he did dislocate it, he needs to have surgery soon for the benefit of his career.

The bad part is that no one will ever know because Miles' policy is to not give any information on injuries. I wish he would just state if someone is going to play or not and stop with the this whole mystery deal.

it is called HIPPA.....read about it and you will understand why Miles cannot talk in detail about injuries.

I think it's actually spelled HIPAA but I know what you mean. I can see some strategic benefit to it as well. You force your opponent to prepare for both
    players.

I understand that but all he has to say is Russell is not going to play or he is going to play. No information about actual injury is required. I think at this point he should just sit Russell and allow him to heal properly. No mystery is required. Just state your going to play Flynn and let the chips fall where they may. (and pray that he doesn't get hurt so that a guy named Welker has to play or even worse Perilloux.)

Lets hope Thug U doesn't injure Flynn.

If Russell's not hurt by gametime he will start.....he at least earns that right from the way he has played this season. LSU!

Before the crap even gets started, If something does happen to Flynn (if JR does not dress) do not expect to see Perriloux. Get ready for a healthy dose of James Welker. No way we blow his shirt for half of a meaningless bowl.

the pros contractually have to disclose injuries as I believe it was in the player's agreement. (the union one for the league)

colleges do not, and that is why the sideline reporters are always "speculating" on injury details.

If the shoulder is dislocated, I don't think JR will be fit to play. If the docs say he is, he should be relegated to backup only if needed and Flynn should play. RP should keep his redshirt, to be fair to him and give him at least 2 full years opportunity to earn the starters job.
