How awesome would it be for the Rose Bowl to have to take Utah?!

With a Texas loss to Texas A&M, the door may be opened for Boise or Louisville to sneak into the BCS as well as Utah. Take a look at the longer explanation:

    Brad Edwards article

This would mean (if USC makes the title game) the Rose Bowl would have a choice of Utah or (Boise or Louisville)

    'Tis true.

I braved the rain here in Houston to catch a glimpse of the Cardinals in action against U of Houston on Saturday.

They are pretty damn good, especially on offense. Big, too.

They're ready for that switch to the Big East next season, no doubt.

How does a Texas loss affect anything(they aren't getting a BCS game unless Cal or USC loses a game). Here are your BCS matcups with everyone winning their remaining games.

    Orange USC-Oklahoma

    Sugar Auburn-ACC/Big East Champ

    Fiesta Utah-ACC/Big East Champ

    Rose Cal-Michigan

A Texas loss means Bosie State or Louisville could possibly slide into the Top 6, which will guarantee them a BCS bowl like Utah.

    That would knock Cal out...

Even if USC were to lose their last 2 games, they would still go to the Rose Bowl. If Cal were to lose as well, they would slide out of the top 6 in the BCS, allowing Texas to sneak in.

But wait, Louisville and Boise State are lurking in the 6 and 7 spots, thus preventing Texas from getting a BCS berth anyway.

I just love saying that. It's fun.

When OU beats USC. and Auburn goes undefeated you watch there will be yet another split National Championship...

The only there is no split title is if the media darling USC some gets lucky wins..

I am praying we dont go to the cotton to take on Texas... I hate UT fans.

Bottom line, if either Texas or Cal loses, they inadvertantly screw the other team out of the BCS as well. How fun is that?! :)

Actually in looking at the BCS standings, Miami will take over the #7 spot, surpassing both Louisville and Boise State with a win over Va. Tech. Louisville and Boise State do not play good enough competition from here on out to keep them ahead of Miami.

Since Miami would already have a BCS berth (ACC Champ), a Cal loss would indeed allow Texas to get a BCS berth as well.

    DH, can you confirm?
