With the victory today, that makes two victories over top 10 teams. If they can just keep abover .500 for the rest of the season they should make the NCAA tournament. Considering 14 victories is .500 for the season, and they already have 11, the Tigers are in good shape.
.500 for the season wouldn't get LSU in the NCAA's or the NIT. Last year they were 17-14 and got a bid in the NIT. Now if they finish at .500 in conference that would put them around 20-9 which would be borderline to get into the tourney.
if we finish 20-9 that will be good enough to get us in the tournament....probably a #8 seed... as far as i see it though, barring a total breakdown, we're in like flin
In like Flynn?? I think the Tigers are looking good but it is way too early in the SEC schedule to be counting the as being in the tourney. Just look at MSU, top 10 ranking but 0-2 in league play. However, if everyone stays healthy and some breaks fall our way then I think we should do some things this year.
