Some guy on the Arkansas message board said that it was announced at a team meeting today. It probably isn't true, but it could be. Should make for an exciting few days.

Not true. Nutt hasn't been fired yet.

Not yet. I heard all kinds of different rumors about the meeting. I don't know what was said.

Colorado AD has contacted Mariucci about the job.

Is this confirmed? IMO I don't see this happening Arkansas will be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple of years. McFadden is gonna be a star, they are a very young team with potential. Why would you want to leave? Go from the SEC to the BIG 12?

I don't see Houston Nutt leaving unless he is fired or forced to leave. If he is fired and Barnett at Colorado is fired, he'll go to Colorado. He loves Arkansas too much to just leave. If he leaves and maybe Butch Davis takes over, he'll take advantage of their talent and do better than Nutt would ever do.

I'd think Butch Davis would be more interested in the Colorado job myself.

That's the plum job this offseason, no question.

He turned down 2 mil from Nebraska a couple of years ago. If he wouldn't jump at at 9-2 Nebraska team, I find it hard to beleive he'll got to Colorado.

The difference this year is that is Nutt's job security as of right now is razorblade thin. Recruiting this year has been horrendous, looks like we'll lose 4 of 5 D-1 prospects 10 miles from campus playing for Springdale High. If Colorado were to offer he will accept, no questions asked. I personally doubt they are interested, and even if so, there would have to be an outright offer with no interview process. To lift your skirt to three different schools in 2 1/2 years will not be tolerarated, even by those few in power who still believe in Nutt. There is a major storm brewing in Fayettville, and there is a chance he won't survive anyway. The Mustain decommitment has pushed a large percentage of fans over the edge.
