I am more shocked that Nebraska thinks Nutt is a Top tier coach their program is looking for.

Have they seen any of the Arky games?

You don't fire your coach until you have a better idea of who's
interested or have one hired.

Nebraska maybe LUCKY to get someone like Houston Nutt.

Who wants to go and coach thier knowing you could be fired for
going 9-3??

 

I live in Ark and just saw on the news that Frank Broyles the Arkansas A.D. said Nutt would have a good shot at the job if he wanted it.

I'm also surprised by the interest in him.

 

well, from what I know, Nebraska wanted Dick Vermiel. He just signed an extension today, so that is not happening. Next they pursued KC's offensive coordinator named Saunders, and he turned down the job (they actually offered it to him). So Nutt is choice #3.

Bobby Bowden was quoted as saying he wants Spurrier to go to Nebraska so he never has to coach against him. What a puss.

 

If this scenario plays out Nebraska AD in serious trouble

They may have to stick with thier Interium head coach

 

I am surprised by Broyles comments. It is almost as if he wants to see Nutt go.

 

There was a local Fox radio guy here in Big D with Ark connections who made the statement a couple of days after Solich got fired that Nutt was interested in the Nebraska job from what he heard. It makes sense for him to want to leave and make a step up now, because he knows he's getting beat at recruiting by LSU's OU's and the rest. But if Nebraska thinks he can bring them back to what they were, they're in for a rude awakening.
