I see the N Houston Alumni Assoc is having a get-together at Tobin's Bar on Jones Rd, and I've not been before. First, are any of you planning to attend and, if so, can you give me your opinion of the place? Thanks.
No, I've got a prior commitment w/ my HD TV and some Beam and beer. Hopefully you live on the NW side of town...it looks like Tobin's is between 249 and 290, outside the Beltway.
I live about the same distance from Tobins as I do Big Woodrow's, but I don't want to go to Tobins if it's some 2-TV faux "sports bar"-type of joint. Sat. @ 2:30 will have a number of potentially interesting games -TX-Kansas, USC-Cal--and I plan on watching them all...though it'll probably be @ Woodrow's since nobody in Houston knows of Tobins, apparently. :wink:
