They brought it up for discussion based on rumors. Said the 4-7 Hogs would be 8 -3 in the Big 12 North. Probably true. And, discussing the SECCG, Tillman came away from yesterday's game impressed with Russel's accuracy.
No, but in my opinion it would be a better geographic/cultural fit and also give them a chance to win something meaningful sometime. On the other hand I think the SEC will want to replace anyone who leaves because of the need for a certain number to be able to play a championship game, so I am sure the SEC wouldn't like to see them go without a good team coming in.:geauxtige
You'd have to look at their entire athletic dept. Arkansas has a great track program, a nice basketball program, good baseball, and decent football. I'm not sure who could come in and take over all of that. Louisville has a good basketball program, but what about baseball, track, softball, women's basketball, etc? I don't think the SEC is going to let Ark go any time soon.
Louisville would be nice to cement the interest from the state of Kentucky in SEC football BUT they would be fierce competitors. Overall, though, I prefer strong teams to adding weak ones. No fun to look forward to playing Mississippi State or Vandy--Mississippi State can improve, not sure Vandy ever will be able to get any better than it is this year because of its academics. Once in a blue moon they'll be competitive. UAB--too many Alabama teams USF may be ok but no national name yet Memphis should be the substitute for Vandy. I like USM too. lefire: :geauxtige
Maybe we can take either GA tech or FSU. Doubt it now with the ACC and all but thats who I would want. But they wont leave the ACC. I think we should lose Vandy, before Arky. Maybe bring in Louisville
