There has been a lot of talk from the upper level programs on the Hokie's scheduling and lack of beating top ranked opponents. With that said: VIRGINIA TECH HAS NEVER, IN THE HISTORY OF ITS PROGRAM, BEATEN A TOP 5 TEAM! To read even further, in the last 18 years (since 1985) Virginia Tech is 0-21 against Top 10 teams. That is an amazing statistic. Which case in the 1995 Sugar Bowl, the Hokies beat Texas, which at the time was ranked #9, but finished #14. So in that scenario VT has beaten a Top 10 team. However, they have never beaten a Top 8 team using either scenario.
I am SO crossing my fingers and knocking on wood while reading your post and tossing salt over my left shoulder....
Hey, what did I ever do to you? :hihi: I'm with you man. I've already got the lucky socks and undershirt laid out.
From a outsiders point of view...I've been in a flux trying to figure out who to pick for the pick 'em you guys have on this site. I've edited mine twice already..going back and forth. The VT DL against the OL is the only reason I've picked VT for this one...and, that may change by this afternoon. :dis:
Wow! You think by 13?!? Heck, I wonder if 30 pts will be scored in this game! It's hard to make a judgement on both DL's and OL's based on the games both teams have played. Granted, I would consider the DL for MSU better than that of ECU. But, then again, maybe not. CFB didn't have his team mentally prepared for their game last weekend. I don't think that will happen this weekend. Who knows...but, it looks to be a good football weekend once again.
Interesting, but that's one of those statistics that really does not mean a lot. App State had never beaten a top 5 team either until last week.
Let me guess some of you play BLACK on the roulette table after you've seen red hit 8x's in a row? :hihi:
