Plus, I don't think he'd come back. It would be a lateral move. Plus he's already won a title with our D. He wins another one with Texas' D, and he'll be a head coach in less than 2 years.
Never happen. His name is starting to come up every time a head coaching position comes open. He will be the man in charge somewhere very soon.
Everyone keeps talking about him as a soon-to-be head coach but if he wanted to be a head coach, I think he would be one by now. To be truthful, I don't see him as being a great head coach, I see him as being a great defensive coordinator and I think he sees the same thing.
I don't think he was even considered a head coaching candidate until now. He didn't have enough experience and when he left here how many people really considered him to be a great coordinator? He was looked at as more of coordinator in title only because Saban was running the defense.
What's the deal with everyone being in love with Muschamp right now? Texas, as I understand it, has a decent defense (granted, it's better than what we're doing right now...). Wasn't Auburn's defense so/so when he moved there, also?
