Anyone else notice they ran him, once? I'm a little confused as to why they would burn his redshirt for one play with no impact on the game. We are plenty deep enough at RB.

Why do people care so much about redshirting??? When has LSU EVER been in dire need for running backs???

Toefield, Davis, Faulk, Mealey, Collins, Vincent, Addai, Hester, Keiland, Scott, Murphy, Ridley....ALL over the past 10 years or so....ALL, in SOME capacity managed to get on an NFL team either in pre-season, or practice squad or active roster.

Who cares if he played once? Why does everyone think that a redshirt year MUST COME in your true freshman season???

Was KH on special teams? I didn't particularly notice, but just because he didn't feature much in the offense doesn't mean he isn't on the 2-deep for special teams.

I don't get the infatuation with "burning redshirts" for RB's at LSU. We've ALWAYS had a stable of productive if not stellar RB's and we ALWAYS will!

Redshirt or not, by the time Hilliard is a Jr or Sr, we will again have about 3-4 RB's all talented enough to see the field.

Hilliard will be used and needed at FB. Unfortunately, it looks like Copeland might have a little Downs in him when it comes to injuries. I don't think Miles has a ton of confidence in Stampley.

I see Hilliard transitioning to a Hester role after a couple of years. Miles has also mentioned this. One of the keys if we want that to happen is to get him as comfortable as possible.

I thought Stampley played pretty good last night.

Looks like Miles is trying to develop more options from the FB position (ala Hester).
