Here is what the New York times stated . . .
“Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether sensitive government information was mishandled in connection with the personal email account Hillary Rodham Clinton used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday.”
No quotes, no named officials, and no actual document cited. No statement from the Inspector generals and no explanation of what their concern was. Some of her emails may have contained information that was not classified at the time, but was later classified. In that case she did nothing criminal at all. Their concern may be over how certain information was classified and when.
Bottom line: We don't know the target of this requested investigation. Is it Clinton herself in dealing with classified information over her private email server? Or is the target someone else in the State Department regarding the emails and their classification status?
Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said "As has been reported on multiple occasions, any released emails deemed classified by the administration have been done so after the fact, and not at the time they were transmitted."
Let me know when she is charged with a crime. Her political opponents having failed 8 times to find any wrongdoing over Benghazi are now on another witch hunt to make all kind of wild suggestions based on no evidence of any criminal acts. Let it play out. Chances are that she will not be found culpable in this either.
