looks like mccormick couldn't quite get it done. :yelwink2: he actually pitched amazingly in the wednesday game...and that was one of the best games i have seen in my life. gutsy performance from both sides. what a great cws! i can't remember the last time there was a cws that not one game had a double digit score. it's been a while since i last came over with the updates as it seemed no one really cared but i have to say that ole miss got royally screwed this year by having to host us. that was a helluva team they put together and it's too bad that series wasn't for the nc instead of that florida team. you guys fell on hard times this year obviously (which was pretty obvious back in april) but i have no doubts lsu will be back on top soon. i don't really know that much about smoke and whether he's a good coach or not but i will offer this one bit of info...augie was on the hot seat going into the 2000 season after a couple of mediocre to crappy seasons but once he got it rolling, it's been great. also, anyone else you sec boys wanna throw our way? in the last two years, we've had to play vanderbilt twice, arkansas, georgia twice, arkansas three times, ole miss three times, and florida twice. hook'em horns!
Congrats where they are due to one of the finest college baseball programs of all time. Well done! :thumb:
Have to agree, I'm no Texas fan by a long shot but Augie is one hell of a coach and he has one hell of a program.
