I'm a college student from Austin, Texas (texas state). Me and a roomie made it to the Ga. vs. LSU game. It was my first tase of SEC football. Since then I have been obsessed! We stayed up til about 4am getting drunk with the students ouside of the stadium. Im am a big aggie fan and go to alot of games there and texas home games.......none of it compares to what I saw at LSU. Next year I am coming back for the Ole Miss game and I am bringing everybody that I know with me! I should be on the board just about everyday so if you have any questions about the big12 feel free to ask. I cant wait to get to know the SEC and LSU more. Taylor C.
We arent having that great of a season but its mostly due to the lack of talent on D. We are alot like Flordia in some ways. Just about all of our starters are fresh or soph. He has done a great job of taking in all of the traditions which are so important at a&m. All in all its too early to tell. Some believe he will turn out to be a great coach, others dont. All that we can do at this point is hope. As far as all the changing schools BS.....It kinda frusterating that our coach is seen in such a negative light but its nothing that winning wont solve. The more losses we have the more of an issue it will be. Most aggies believe that he was justified in leaving Bama b/c they lied to him about how severe the probation was going to be. They also believe that he would have gone back to say good bye to his players if bama would have let him.
I would love to come back to a game this season but I already have tickets to a game every week from now until the end of the season. Im hoping for a bowl game close to texas so I can make it to that. I would also love to take in a baseball game there....so maybe in the spring.
TT, the reason Tiger fans don't like Franchione has nothing to do with his coaching ability. Last year in the week before the Alabama game some unknown person posted some negative info about Fran on the internet and made it look like they were quotes from Nick Saban. Saban had nothing to do with that and Fran should have been smart enough to know it but following the game when the Tide kicked our asses Fran refused to shake hands with Saban. He is a good enough coach and will probably eventually get the Aggies program back to national prominance but his refusal to shake hands with Nick was a totally classless act.
I have not heard about that before......if true, you are right, very classless. Ags wont put up with that so Im sure that you will never see it again from him.
Well, he didnt set the world on fire his first year at Alabama either. He was 6-5 with a pretty porous defense (just ask Rohan Davey), and he then came back last year to post a 10-3 record with what ended as the statistically best defense in the league. The next two year will be telling, if he is still around.
