http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/08/05/london.bombings.blair/index.html looks like Tony Blair is going to ammend their constitution to allow hate advocates and extremists to be deported from the country. Why have we not done this yet?
Re: Hey America...Follow Brittain's lead I agree wholeheartedly. Let's rid America of all the neocon right wingers. I hear the armed forces are having trouble recruiting. Solve two problems with one law.
Re: Hey America...Follow Brittain's lead Neocons don't blow up our own stuff. They blow up other people's stuff. Big difference. I'm a complete free speech advocate, but at some point, the behavior of some people extends beyond simple speech. See London. I have no problem deporting foreigners who present an internal security risk with their messages of hate and violence.
I was wondering the same thing after seeing Tony Blair on tv this morning. We are too stupid for our own good, Political correctness, etc. We didn't learn in 93, or with any other attack including 9-11. We won't profile or protect the borders. I often wonder how many terrorist attacks will have to happen or how many people will have to die before America wakes up. About Mystikililusions post, First of all I think it is a bit rediculous when certain posters always bring up the extreme right wingers when anything like this happens. I bet you can only count these kind of people on one hand that is why. There are extreme people on the left and the right! :dis: It seems we are too content fighting amongst our selves these days, to pre-occupied while the enemies come.
I just felt like pointing out that Britain doesn't have an official written constitution. I also don't agree with this either. If countries start changing laws to allow extremists to be deported who gets to decide who the extremists are? I could say that someone who disagrees with my views on religion, doesn't believe iin laissez faire capitalism, or the belief in small government is an extremist that needs to be deported. Now, i'm all for deporting those who are here illegally but I do feel that it is a slippery slope to deport extremists.
Welcome back Gimp! Where've you been hiding?? I tend to agree with you, but I also think there are times when it's plainly obvious that someone's actions are threatening internal security through messages of hate and recruiting to that end.
I just finally got internet in my new apartment and then I have been out of town for about a month this summer, so I haven't been able to spend as much time here as I like to. I agree that sometimes it is obvious people are threatening internal security which is why you arrest them and give them a fair trial, as is deserved by all people terrorist or not. By deporting them you are only giving them a chance to get away and by arresting them and giving them a fair trial it helps minimize the chance of government corrupting the power and imprisioning everyone who disagrees with them.
Alright, I can go with that. And more work for lawyers, which is almost always a good thing. Good analysis Gimp, let's introduce some of these fools to KeeKee, RayRay, KnuckKnuck, and the rest of the cell block welcoming committee!!
Re: Hey America...Follow Brittain's lead This country would be in a world of hurt if you did. Then, after fouling everything up w/ their idiotic ideas, the left would turn on itself, because the left in this country is basically a coalition of factions w/ their own selfish interests, and sooner or later, you'll start stepping on each other's toes.
gee, THATS what our country needs...a bunch of Neo-Nazi's in the military... yeah... thatll show em... :dis:
