The link is to a cnnsi.com prediction on next season, gives the top ten.

At first glance I think LSU deserves the #2 spot and without a change at QB would undoubtedly be #1, so JR come on back.

The second thing that jumps out is Va. Tech at #10, I was a little surprised by that giving the Peach Bowl, but that will be a great way to get the season rolling with a big win.

And finally I dont think the Big 10 deserves 3 top ten spots given the exploitation of the weak conference in the bowl games.

In case the link doesnt work the early projected top ten from cnn was
    USC - LSU - Florida - Ohio State - West VA. - Wisconsin - Michigan - Louisville - Texas - Va. Tech

LSU will certainly be a top contender for the NC next year. When you consider our home and road schedule, with or without JR, the Tigers could go 12-1 in the regular season, if not 13-0. The one big threat to an undefeated regular season will be Florida.

Agree that UF is the BIGGEST threat, but not the only threat. If we don't show up against VT, they could sneak up on us, like they did in the past. (What, 4 or 5 years ago?) That being said, we all know there are many tough games throughout the year in the SEC, now proven to be the #1 conference in the land. I would never discount AU.

USC will have the unfavorable road schedule in their rotation and though I expect them to win, it won't be a given either.

You are right of course. I did not mean to imply that Florida is the only team that can beat us, but I can see how my statement could be taken that way. Perhaps what I should have said is that if LSU loses one game next year it will likely be to Florida. But Auburn is also definately a threat.
