How about West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez? True they didn't quite live up to expectations this year, but he has made them a pretty consistent winner. He was a great coordinator for tommy bowden at tulane and later at Clemson, Tommy is still looking for a repacement for him as he hasn't had a very strong year at Clemson since Rich took the West Virginia job.

I would not be surprised if he were on Skip's list should we need to find a new coach.

As much as the name Butch Davis is being bandied about, I'm surprised the name Terry Robiskie hasn't made anybody's list yet. He was LSU's first African-American player, and is currently the interim HC of the Browns. I think he would be an outstanding hire.

Has he been gone from Tulane long enough for the smell to go away ?

Whoever shows interest in the job better be a hyper-competitive type who truly wants to coach against the best of the best.

Who knows? Rich may be content with having one of the best programs in a very weak BCS conference.

I think you're going to see some interesting names interested in the job. LSU won't want for quality coaching candidates, believe me.

Not that it has anything to do with anything but wasn't Mike Williams there before Robiskie (first Af-Am player) ?

How about Mike Price? I for one thought Bama overreacted to the whole thing.. and I'm sure, if nothing else, that the experience has been a learning one for the guy.

No doubt that the guy can coach. Just not sure if being this close to the Quarter is a good thing for him.

Rich Rodriguez and his wife are both from West Virginia. Don't know if they're really wanting to leave. But they both love Louisiana too, from what I hear.
