Our Highschool's stats are even better than Bama's ... does that mean they could beat Bama??? I have a problem with the stats the guy at "al.com" stresses as significant, because they are stats that are highly dependent on the quality of the opponent. BUT .. HEY .. it's all good! I think the biggest factor for Bama, is that Saban said his Defense is playing as a "team". Now .. that's significant. Of course, so is LSU's, so again, it really doesn't matter.
The stat that stands out the most to me is the 3rd down situations for both teams... In a game of field position, I think those are key.
The stats i would like to see are the results from special teams: 1: Alabama average starting position vs LSU average starting position 2. Alabama opponent starting position vs LSU opponent starting position (averages) 3. Alabama % TD with drives starting inside the 20 vs LSU 4. Alabama % TD inside the 30 vs LSU 5. Alabama opponent % scoring with drives starting inside the 40, 30, 20, 10 vs LSU i would do it but i gotta get back to work.... lol
YUP .... That means Bama 3 FGs and 2 TDs LSU ... 4 TDs and 1 FG. Score ... 31-23. ... bama loses This could very well be the most significant stat of all.
It sticks out all too well. I like the staff Les has at LSU. Chief and Krags/Studs its gonna be fine. I saw a few changes in the last game, KragStuds is getting this team ready. The playbook is changing.
Yep. And they were setting bama up with the offense we ran with JJ in the game. I seriously doubt you'll see him run the read option and speed option without setting it up with different plays out of the same set beforehand. They didn't let him throw it anymore after that BEAUTIFUL bomb to Randle because he was revealing too much. Krags said "Crap! That wasn't supposed to be so perfect! Bench JJ!" :hihi:
Exactly, I'm glad I told the wifey to DVR the game for me while I was in TS for the game. Did anyone else hear danielson say "auburn has their safeties in the box daring Jefferson to throw the football" 1, maybe 2 plays before he threw the 42 yard TD to Randle?
