Herbstreit says Gators just as talented as any team in country

Herbstreit and the ESPN crew leave a lot to be desired but I'd be surprised if Florida isn't going to be pretty tough next year. Leak is a good QB and the team does have some good recruiting years behind it. Add to that a substantial upgrade in the HC department and I wouldn't be surprised to see UF back in the championship game. Georgia has to rely on Shockley at QB and for Tenn. to reach the Championship game behind so much youth at QB would be one helluva coaching job from Phat Phil.....

I've got no love for the Gators but added toughness and a cold-blooded, cut-throat-of-a-coach on the sidelines is just what the doctor ordered.

 

How is he going to mention Notre Dame, and not mention LSU,Miami, or Ohio state?

When was the last time Notre dame won a Championship, compared to these 3 teams?

He was saying he had been to Texas, Iowa, USC & Notre Dame. Then he said Fl had the same talent level as those schools. Not necessarily that all of the schools were national championship contenders.

I agree, Zook could recruit and UF is loaded. There LB's are way above average and even though they lost Crowder that will still be the strength of their defense. There offernse will also score a lot of points under Meyer's system, so I think they will contend with UT in the SEC East.

 

y'all need to settle down. from the quote in a post above, he named only schools that he had visited (supposedly recently).

as far as including ND, he might have just mentioned every school he recently visited.
