hey everyone, you guys caught my eye this weekend with a great defensive performance. good game and congrats. finish off the hillbilly pigs and you guys will have had a great season. thought i would throw a hypothetical out there for you guys...interested in your feedback. which scenario would you guys prefer if you were to win out the regular season outside of the obvious answer of the sugar bowl? 1) fiesta bowl against us (texas)? 2) fiesta bowl against ohio state? 3) fiesta bowl against kansas state (if they pull off a miracle in the conference championship game)? 4) fiesta bowl against the 2nd place sec east team? 5) orange bowl against fsu? 6) orange bowl against pitt? 7) orange bowl against miami? i wouldn't mind a fiesta bowl rematch or anything but personally (and i have found most texas fans agree), i would like to go play michigan in the rose bowl. we've never played michigan before (amazingly) and i think it would be fun to go smack around some big 10 wannabes. what do you guys think? by the way, if we do hook up with lsu in tempe, then i will be stopping by the krewe of ragoo tailgate again for some more good times...i'll have to request that someone bring me plate of duck and sausage gumbo from chimes...
Roy Williams obviously would have no clue what redemption is...4 losses to OU. Good job Roy and the boys.
ou? that seems irrelevant to the discussion... roy says: 'whatchou talkin' bout tiga?' i do think it would make for an interesting game though. lsu's defense has been mighty impressive this year. texas has a lot of speed on offense and vincent young bring an unpredictable excitability to every play that is very unique.
That'd be great, seeing UT again (hell, I'd love to play you guys every year since it gives LSU great exposure in Texas, an important place for us to recruit). Latest non-Sugar Bowl projections have us facing...the ACC or Big East champ? LSU-Fla. St. or LSU-Pitt, for example? Ugh. There goes my appetite. As for a rematch, Vince Young worries me because, as with Matt Jones, he has that mobility we've not seen much of this season. Other than that, we absolutely shut down your running game and gash you between the tackles with the run when on offense a la Arkansas. For a team chock full of great athletes, UT's OL and DL can be manhandled relatively easily by a good opponent. Very surprising.
