Should DD at least be considered for the Heisman? He is a very explosive back who can do it all. He runs with power and speed, makes defenders miss, and has great hands. I believe he is in the mold of a Marshal Faulk or Deuce McAllister. Granted that he hasn't had a huge breakout game numbers wise yet, but anybody watching can see how tough he is to get a hold of and bring down. Also, this freshman back at Ohio St., Claret, dosen't have anything on Davis (who is a senior) in talent, just a lot more exposure and media hype.
Will never happen. I wish it would, but to win the Heisman, your name has to be on the list before the season starts. Davis is third in the nation in all purpose YPG, but he wont get the hype.
Charles Woodson got it If Woodson was considered and won then DD should get some respect he is #4 All Purpose yardage leader averaging 176.00 per game the top rusher in the country is only averaging 159.00 per game he is the top Punt returner in the country. The only reason he is not listed as the tops in the Kick return dept. is because nobody kicks off to us very much. Dorsey the leader in the heisman debate is at # 37 in total offense. Byron Leftwich is the only person in the country that is a Heisman hopefull that even compare to the offensive numbers that DD is putting up this year. GIVE DD SOME LOVE ESPN
Fugettaboutit. Look at last year. Josh Reed didn't even get a sniff and he was head and shoulders above everybody out there.
