What is everybody's feeling heading into the final month or so of recruiting ? I think we have the nucleus of a good class already. If we can close it out strong and pick up some of our wish list i will be happy with this class. QB a little dissapointed we lost Cate but with the guys we have we allright not signing any this year. RB Scott and Murphy are quality and if we can close Keiland Williams it may be one of the best RB classes in the country. Lineman A few good signee's already on board but need to close a few more. Definately still a need here. WR Crawford is good but we need to close at least 2 more on our wish list. TE With Lott we are OK. Not a big fan of having too many TE. Defensive Line we are in good shape with commits. Mccoy is a long shot but would be nice to get. Linebacker 3 committed but Odom would be a nice pickup here. DB This is the area that still needs attention . Still need 3 to 4 more split with CB and Safety If Coach Miles can close this class strong it can go a long way to providing a great base for the next 3 to 4 years. Last years class was high on quality but short on numbers. This is the class that will determine how 2 to 3 years from now goes. I would feel better if a few would start committing at the need areas . OL, CB, and LB . One thing in our favor is Fla. is pretty much at their limit . If we beat Miami in the Peach Bowl 11-2 with some momentum could be the spark this class needs. Going to be an interesting month to say the least. I am nervous but i think things look good for the Tigers.
I like our class right now. We've still got a lot of players left to sign & we're already ranked top 10. I feel like we need to sign another high profile player or two in order to make this class special. We'll probably land a few more 4 stars which would be great, but Keiland Williams & another 5 star player would really make this class complete.
Don't discount the need for TEs... remember, LSU ran a two TE set nearly half of the time this year... and a good tightend can cause major matchup problems... Too big for a safety to cover, too fast for a linebacker to defend..
