Wow, I can't believe we have something in common.
    How can this be?

What is your solution to terrorism?

There is no solution... you can only hope to minimize it. And the best tool for that is capitalism.

Creating more enemies and more breeding grounds for terrorists as we're doing in Iraq is NOT the answer.

And what better way to nurture and spread capitalism than to let Hussein and other dictators stay in power?

    Looks like your contradicting yourself?
    Isn't capitalism happening in Iraq?

I think you bomb the countries that support and grow terrorism.
Bombings like the Germans did to England or like we did to Japan,
    not using Nukes either.

You can't separate the countries that support terrorism from the terrorism
    itself.
Countries like Pakistan breeds and teaches the hate that begins terrorism.

Islam in and of itself is not breeding terrorists. Being ruled by despots and kept poor, stupid and hopeless is what contributes to the twisting of their religion. With freedom, comes hope and the opportunity at prosperity and controlling their own destiny with their oil riches.

With jobs, an education and hope they can't be led to believe that the West is to blame for everything. Many Muslim's live in the US very peacefully and love it here. So to say that Islam or Mohammad is to blame for everything is shortsighted.

These people were passed up by civilization because of oppression. Their problems didn't happen overnight and they won't be fixed overnight. But at least the West isn't sitting back any longer and watching their level of hatred rise while we warn their leaders and seek UN help. We are doing the right thing in Iraq and in 50 years all these so called Patriot's with their shortsighted rightousness like M. Moore and the rest will see we were right once again.

True peace only comes from VICTORY.........not settlements or appeasement.

right, i agree with both rex and sourdough. capitalism and democracy are the only long term solution. and like sourdoughman said, rex dont you see that we are creating exactly that in iraq. solving the problem in the only way it can be solved?

incidentally, i dislike christianity almost as much as islam. i think it is dangerous any time you are claiming divine inspiration for anything. who are christians to tell muslime they are wrong for suicide bombing? they agree that god works in mysterious ways we dont understand, and that you should do the will of god.

Lets not forget that we are now paying for letting terrorism get out of hand since the
    1970's.
Whether you are anti-Isreal or not you have to realize that we let this kind of thing
flourish in Isreal and other places and now we are paying the price all over the world.

The problem isn't so much with Islam as it is with Arabs. Islamic Turks and Bosnians really aren't hostile at all. The muslim Persians of Iran are hostile, but do not abide with Al Qaida terrorism. The Punjab Pakistanis are our "allies"(I don't trust them).

The main problem is with the Sunni Arabs. These are the crazy ragheads behind all of the trouble. Saudis, Palestinians, Jordanians, Egyptians, etc. We need to find covert and overt ways to induce these bastards to fight each other, instead of finding ways of uniting them against us.

Maybe. But I think that both of those must be developed from within. I really don't believe that a country can just be 'given' either of those and be expected to make the necessary adjustments for survival. Capitalism and democracy are just as easily corruptable as another type of system. And given the rampant and wreckless tendency for corruption to flourish in those areas, I don't see either of them surviving.

That region cannot be expected to conform to our way of life, especially given that their way of life has been one of complete chaos and turmoil for thousands of years. Us 'giving' them capitalism or democracy won't rid the region of the hostile fanatics. In fact, that will only make them more hostile.
