Did anyone get to watch the bama game...and in particular how Eddie Lacy looked in that game......was it just me or did he look like a more powerfull runner the Trent Richardson??? 8 carries for 62 yards Richardson 13 carries for 44 yards Did we let one get away there??
Lacy looked very good. He catches well out of the backfield too. If I remember correctly, his first game last year, in a back up role he ran for 112 yds. It was against a scrub team and while Ingram was out, but I think Lacy is very good.
Bama looks very good this year. Their only question mark (And its a big one) is at QB. Ironically they look very similar to us. An amazing defense, very strong running game but some pretty big concerns at QB... I think Arkansas is the team everyone needs to be concerned about including Alabama. They have a high powered offense and appears a pretty strong defense...
I think LSU and Bama are mirror images of each other. Arkansas always gives us fits.....but this year I think their combination of a young young O-line and them not playing defense will be the difference. With alot of emphasis on the o-line I see them really struggling against good defenses.
I think Bama, Mississippi State (yes I said it) and us all look pretty similar. Dominating defenses, power run game, unproven pass offense. Mississippi state has less playmakers and less talent on D though. I don't think the Bama team is as good as last years team and that team lost 3 games, but we'll see. I think we are better than last year and we only lost 2 games but we need to see how we do at the end-of-game situations to see which way those wins and losses side on. And I was surprised Richardson struggled so much although he did get some goalline TDs.
Regardless of who they played, with all their returning starters, that defense is very solid in all phases...d-line, linbacking core, secondary. That and no mater who you played.....when you hold a team to under 150 yards of total offense thats a strong defense. Talking about bama here.
