Look, I know his main market is Alabama.... However, not long ago he practically made a living from pissing off both Auburn and Bammer fans. That was like his "thing". He knew all the right buttons to push. He'd talk about how the gumps had fallen, were inept, and living in the past and he would play on Auburn's perceived inferiority complex and boy did he get them all riled up. As an alum from Tennessee that sounds like a perfect day job. Lately he's been all over Bama's nuts! It's ridiculous really. I could swear he holds them up higher than his own Vols now. Pathetic really. Anyone else notice this or is this just my own perception? I'm not a daily listener or anything but I do listen to it often enough to notice this.

Finebaums infatuation is more with Saban than Bama. Although, he was voicing the same opinions when Stallings was at the helm.

Terry, I'm just wondering... Since he's not on the radio around me I go to his site every now and then to listen to the goof ball. I usually do this during football season or just before hand. Does he basically only talk about Alabama and Auburn ALL YEAR LONG? Is it almost exclusively college football even in March? It just amazes me he can come up with 4 hours of content based on just that topic alone.

FWIW, I think there is a online option to listen to his show live...but, you won't find me listening to him.

In answer to your question, yes. You have to remember the attitude Bama fans have for football. There's the season, recruiting season, spring camp, fall camp...and we still talk about the program A LOT during the off season. It's not so different here, really. We were talking football all season on this forum.

We live it, 7/24/365. If 92K+ at the spring game with people being turned away at the gates didn't make that clear, I don't know what will! :)

he rarely talks about anyone other than bama and auburn. having no pro teams, college football is an all day, every day affair in alabama.

He wants to have Saban's baby...That pretty much sums it up...

But in all honestly, I cant stand the guy but I can't turn the radio off. It's also so wierd. If he gets you fired up, you cant call because it doesn't matter how good you think you have him, he's always got some sly comeback to embarrass the hell out of you on live radio.

He's good at what he does. He causes fans like me to love to hate him. I just want to see what he has to say next and I hate it because I cant turn the station to save my life! LOL

As much as Aubies and Bammars hate Finebaum, they continue to listen to him. He understands that he can trash both teams and irritate both fanbases, yet they still listen.

believe me, I have no problem talking LSU football 365. However, judging from my lady's utter astonishment and annoyed attitude with just 5 minutes of it in February it's alien to me that someone can get away with it for 4 hours. I'm sitting there trying to explain the option offense to her during the offseason and I get this eye rolling look that says "get a life".
