It's way too early in his tenure for him to be fired. His biggest problem is he took a risk with an injured QB (Culpepper) who has sucked hard this year and didn't get a reliable backup. Miami really should have matched the Saints offer for Drew Brees. Thankfully, they didn't and the Saints benefit. Plus, Zack Thomas is looking absolutely terrible this year.
if miami would get a decent quarterback not named culpepper or an F name (fiedler, frerotte, etc.) they'd be in business. everyone saw what they did last year so they are not sneaking up on anyone (like last year) and finally i think if culpepper was with the saints and brees with the fins then you could probably exchange N.O. and Miami's records right now.
Well, Saban had the choice to take either QB and took Culpepper. However, QB is not their problem - nor is the coach. Look at OL and WR. Plus, D is just solid, not great.
i thought huesinga (however you spell the owner's name) didn't want to pay brees what he was asking b/c of his shoulder.
Culpepper has been sacked an average of 4 times a game and sacked the most this year so far. He didnt recruit O lineman here and now he has the same problem there.
Yeah, ha ha Saban is losing. I sure hate that Saban. I mean all he ever did is take a perennial underachieving program that the fans love and give them the consistent winner and national champion that they always hoped for and thought LSU was worthy of. Now, instead of saying thanks for turning us into a perennial national championship contender let's just laugh at him when things are down.
Most analysts expected Miami to contend with NE for their division after closing last season with however many wins in a row they reeled off. Their offense this year is in the crapper for various reasons, some of which can be placed on Saban's shoulders. He is not one to ignore issues and will make adjustments. I'd bet there are plenty of owners who would love to have Saban right now. You sound like your still a little bitter over Saban's departure. Get over it, man. We're in a title chase.
