This was a great game to watch , and I am still shocked by the final play. This was a game where both teams had a claim to win. You had a great play with Broussard (sp?) at the end of the half, and we had a great play at the end of the game. Both teams had a claim to win the game. I have enjoyed the last month of chatting with you guys. Without a doubt, your young offense will have great days under your new coach. This is exactly how the majority of our games (post Arizona State and Michigan) have went. We have been underdogs all year, and yet we pull it out. We play our game, and it seems to work. I am not being patronizing when I say you have a great team, and you don't need my dumb-ass to tell you that.

Thanks, but a bit of advice: most non Big Ten types see you guys as being classy, and what Matt Roth did the other day was classless.

Good luck next year! See you in the preseason top ten!

Congrats on the win and classy post. Iowa played very physical and was very prepared to play this game. I am still in a state of shock over the past two weeks and with what happened today... but you guys really wanted it and played great on special teams to make some critical plays. The last play I am still stunned that Iowa didn't call a timeout because if the pass was incomplete the game would have been over. I was certain ya'll were trying to set up the field goal.

    Good game!

Great game, great teams, great win for Iowa. The Big 10 is impressing me this bowl season for the first time in a few years. Congrats on the win...

Actually, this team was not a great team. Last year's team was. That said, thanks. This team played hard at times and nothing should be taken away from them. Frankly, it was a rebuilding year, especially at the QB position, and finishing 9-3 in that situation is damn good. So the Tigers have to get props for what they have done. Somehow, though, I am still not satisfied. I guess that is what an NC does to you. Hopefully we will be back much sooner than our last drought. :thumb: Good luck to you guys.

I know you guys probably don't care about this, but here are two of the special things about this game. David Bradley, our punter, was being harrassed about his abilities for three years, and then he had this amazing game where he booted the ball extremely well and was a major contributor to the win. Both of his parents died of cancer his senior year of high school, yet he moved from Cali to here to be a Hawk. Warren Holloway, who caught the winning pass, was a 5 year journeyman who had stuck with program from the bad years to the good. It was his first TD reception ever.

Again, I want to thank you for your banter over the last month. You have been gracious with those of Hawks who have done the same with you.

If the Holliday story is correct, what a way to end a career, sheehs that guy will be on cloud 9 for weeks.

Congrats to Iowa and their fans, it was a great game what a horrible finish for us but what excitement.
But I am proud of the way our guys fought back...
As always I am also proud of my Tigers...
    But Iowa played outstanding..

No Hawk is proud of Roth's action, the other evening. Ferentz made sure the apolgy came out immediately, but the media didn't seem as interested in the apology as they did the action, so it didn't get reported.

WOW if I didn't feel so bad I could probably feel good for the guy. Just joking, if it is true what a great story and just rewards for someone that paid his dues and stuck it out.
