Axs channel has a tribute to Les paul with slash buddy guy Joe perry Kenny Wayne shepherd and quite a few others. Pretty remarkable how influential Les paul was to so many musicians. Can probably find it online.
This guy says you can become a better guitar player by doing exercises to train your left brain to communicate with your right brain and also vastly improve your hand - eye coordination.
Watch the video. Wouldn't you like to be able to bounce a golf ball off a club better than Tiger Woods?
So, the palm mute/ Chuck. You can find it in most CCR songs and many many others. Shit gives me fits. Anyone else have an issue with this?
saw a good bit of it. i knew he was an inspiration to many musicians. i almost expected it to be a semi-commercial for Les Paul guitars too, so was surprised to see some many prominent Strat players performing too.
Palm muting and any other technique is hard if you think about doing it while you're playing. You have probably been playing long enough where you could instinctively do if you just listen to the song and go with it. There are gazillions of backing tracks for about any song you want to play in any key on youtube. I have been trying to learn the rhythm riff in this song below. The tabs I could find are few and crap. I don't have it down yet but I sound a lot better when I play it like I hear it and play along with the backing track and stop thinking about the way the tabs say it should be played. Watch SRV's hands while he is playing the rhythm riff. Good backing track for the song
