Guilbeau: LSU’s Perrilloux has his way with Miles

Good point. Don't know much about this Guilbeau fool, but that article of his we are discussing here comes across as sensible as an article claiming that RP is the anti-Christ, a child molester, and the mastermind behind 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombings.

Can anyone post a positive article Guilbeau has written about the Les Miles-coached LSU football team?

In that article, he comes across as heavily anti-Les Miles to me. Basically he came across like he wanted Miles to go to Michigan. He wrote that "Miles may not be thought of as a great coach in many circles." and that "Though still viewed as a little goofy, Miles' stock has improved this season." He also compared Miles to Louisiana-Monroe coach Charlie Weatherbie. He also wanted Jimbo Fisher to be the new LSU head coach after we finally get rid of the hated Les Miles.

Guy's a piece of work.

Anybody know if this guy is even from Louisiana? What college did he go to?

 

The News Star hardly EVER has news about LSU, and when they do, it is hardly EVER good. My brother lives up that way, and he HATES The News Star. I don't blame him.

I am so glad I moved from that area, so I don't have to read that crap, and hear about the ULM warhawks. :dis:

 

From what I understand he had to do everything but jump through a hoop with a ballerina outfit on sinking yankee doodle dandee. Tell Guilbeau to drive about an hour north of Monroe to a state called Arkansas and write for the Stump Jumpin Gazette!

 

There have been a handful, but only as a way of attempting to keep himself from being pigeonholed. His forte has been to be "controversial".

I believe he graduated from LSU.

 

I hate the News star as well! They are one of the worse new papers I have ever read. I could go on and on about how crappy they are.

I have called out dildo Guilbeau on more than one occasion on their talk forum.

 

Id bet my life on it he lurks for content. Once he came to terms with the fact that he was never going to be respected in the industry and no longer had respect for even his own work turned into Cool Ethan.

And honestly, he does a decent job. His article are here, aren't they?

This guy is unbelievable.
He seems to have it bad for both RP and Miles. He also managed to insult App State in the same article.

Is he jeaulous, trying to make up for his own short comings?

He is obvioulsy doesn't have inside information. Just throwing darts or is it something else?

Football player get special treatment in some areas.
They are also held to a lot higher standard than most other students. Most of the stuff he writes about would be non issues for a normal student. In a bar where a fight occurred and one of his freinds was in it? Wihtout knowing the detail around this incident, it could have happened to anyone.

Got to trust the coaches and their decisions with things like this. At least until they have proven they can't be or establish a pattern over time.

WE (LSU) are a long way from the joke that has become of FSU. Used to have a lot of respect for Bowden. His track record over the last ten or fifteen years with "marginal" players has proven that he is willing to win at any cost.

A cost most of us would not be willing to pay.

A LOT of the sportswriters lurk for content and to be honest, I can't blame them. It's a quick way to get a read on the pulse of a fan base. There are few that write today that don't have their columns fueling fires that are already out there. It doesn't help with their print subscription base, but it does create a large influx of page views on their articles. Believe you me, the online producers for these papers watch that closely

FWIW, over the last few years the number of page views for AL.com have leveled off a bit...on the other hand, the number of views for the Tidesports.com site have increased 6-7 fold. I was talking to Rattay the other day and he said the number was over 3 million...can't remember what time frame (a day or a week) he was talking about.

Did you notice/hear that not only has McReedy lost his radio gig, he lost his paper gig in Mobile as well? He's working for Rivals now...Ole Miss, specifically.
