Here is a rough estimate of the adjusted standings:

..................Coaches.....Harris....A&H RB CM KM JS PW......New.
    1. Ohio State...1499.......2847......24 25 24 23 23 23...... .9793
    2. BC..............1408.......2705......21 23 22 24 22 22...... .9259
    3. LSU.............1274.......2453.....25 24 25 25 25 25...... .9033
    4. OU..............1305.......2501.....13 14 14 14 16 17...... .7758

LSU jumps to #1 in 5 different polls this week, and from #4 to #2 in the other poll. I may be wrong on Anderson & Hester (A&H), but it will be really close between LSU, OSU and idle ASU for the #1 spot in that poll.

Bama's win over Tennessee was big, as they should be ranked decently high in the computer polls heading into that matchup (top 20-25 in most of them).

I think we close the gap significantly over OU in the human polls, but not quite enough to overtake them for the #3 spot. I hope I am wrong and people see OU and the Big 12 for the frauds that they are.

LSU widens its lead over OU considerably as the Iowa State (1-6) lackluster performance hurts them in both the human polls as well as not improving their poor computer ratings (did I ever tell you computers are pretty damn smart?).

LSU would have to garner roughly 1335 points in coaches and 2540 in Harris to overtake BC for #2 in the BCS. If the voters think enough about our hard fought victory vs Auburn as well as OU's embarrassing performance vs Iowa State and allow LSU to leapfrog them in the human polls, then LSU may very well be sitting at that most cherished #2 spot in the BCS. Let the voters be heard!

    The BCS will go:

    1. OSU (only a matter of time until they lose)

    2. BC (also only a matter of time)

    3. LSU

    4. Oregon

    5. OU

The team on the move is Oregon and I think give USC a whooping next weekend. We should move into the 1 or 2 spot after we beat Bama in 2 weeks. As long as we win out... we control our destiny in the BCS.

There will be a mutiny if BC plays in the BCSCG over LSU or OU if all 3 win out from here.

    Ya Think???

I don't think BC will win out, but if they do, more power to them. If there's a bunch of one-loss teams at the end, it's gonna be hard to deny any of them... especially Oregon, if they keep putting 55 points on everyone.

Hey everyone, just got in from having my son's one year pictures made, so this is the first I'm seeing of anything.

islstl, you were right... more so than I would have ever guessed. LSU is ahead of Oklahoma ALREADY in both human polls. All we need to do is win out and have a BC or Ohio State loss.

Have not added anything yet, I'll do that now and post back in a few minutes.

OSU plays Wincy, Michigan, PSU and Illinois by the end. They lose 1 if not 2 of those.

BC plays VT next week, then Miami, Florida State and Clemson... they will be lucky to escape with only 2 losses.

OU still has TT, TX A&M, OSU on their schedule. With their weak defense and the way the played against Big 12 basement dweller ISU yesterday... they lose 1 more before seasons end.

LSU and Oregon will finish in the top 2. With the exception of OU #4 and Oregon #5 I did pretty well laying out the top 5.

Okay, mine's up to date with both human polls and the Sagarin computer only. None of the other computers have been released.
