I have been an LSU Fan since before I could remember; however I have had it with the so called know it alls around here who could do a better job. Lets start to be honest with ourselves. We are a good football team we had a bad 10 years in the 90's, I would go so far to call it down right horrible. Now we had a coach who won us a National Championship and 2 SEC championships but guess what he left us and by the way he used us as a barganing chip. I also remember when we hired him their were a lot of fans who were mad because he would not say we were the best fans in the country and that if he didn't want to be here we should got somebody else. So lets now look at some history are we a power house in football no we have only on undefeted team since 1958 ( ties don't count) and 9 SEC titles overall. I know some will read my post and say I am just going on but lets Remember before you throw Les under the bus How many of you Can say you are the Top 20 of your profession much less 1000 or 10000 I will wager not to many. So my view is like I said before grow up take a breath and support your Team, and the coaches are part of the team. If most of the posters had their way John Brady would have been fired and we would have not made it to the Final Four. I spend a lot of money on my tickets each year and travel often to support my team in all sports so I do have a right to complain but to also reflect and try to be positive instead of crying all the time about what is wrong. Just remember guys you can have positive outlook and negative is not the only way to be critical. Oh and one plug for our coach you guys hate so much, He has represented out school in a much more positive way than most of us. He went to Iraq to give our troops a morale boost but as always that doesn't matter in the all mighty world of COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Just my 2 cents.
I don't call it college football anymore, some sort of minor league system for the pros. Way too much money involved now, and it'll only get worse. With money tight these days, i expect a good product just like anyone else. I'll pay for a ribeye, but i'll expect one too. Give me any head coach's salary for one year and I could retire on it. Call me anything you want to that 1 year. So yeah, i should be able to critcize a millionaire. As far as a powerhouse, no we are not. We were getting close, or at least to being a contender every year. And can you honestly say that we even will another SEC Championship in the next few years? I'm not saying every year we should win it either.
