Yes, I went to both and I remember telling a jackass tenn fan that we will see you in the Sec Championship! I also lived in Nashville at the time and won a lot of money on LSU from stupid ass VOL fans. They honestly thought they were going to the rose bowl and beat Miami in the National :crystal: Championship game.
TV doesnt count. 1990 LSU v UNLV in basketball. Helluva win. UNLV went on to win the NC with Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon and Greg Anthony. Of course, that LSU team had 4 first round picks on it. i put this above the 97 UF football game because that LSU team was going nowhere. the 90 LSU bball team had high hopes.
1972. 17 lefire: 16 Ball on the Rebels 10. 1 second left Bert Jones to Dr. Brad Davis Simply amazing. :geauxtige
In person :helmet: '88 Earthquake Game vs. Auburn. Still shaking! :bball: '90 Loyola-Marymount - Broke the scoreboard that day. On TV :tigbas: '96 CWS - The Warren Morris HR was the single greatest play ever b/c of the implications it carried. :helmet: '03 The National Championship Game :crystal: - enough said. '82 Bama - Steel Curtain Day :bball: '86 Regional Final vs Kentucky. Unbelievable run.
Football-Earthquake game. I was sitting in the auburn section too! :thumb: Baseball-Any time we beat USL. Softball-The last time we beat USL in Lafayette in the regionals. They were leading early and talking all kinds of trash, but when LSU took the lead, they couldn't take it and started a fight. It was hilarious! Basketball-UNLV game with CJ. :911:
I can't believe none of you have mentioned this game. 1970----OM/LSU----Archie Manning has tormented you his soph and jr. years. Last game of the season. TS!!!!!!!!!!!! Rebs in red jerseys..LSU in the proud whites. Manning's arm broken against Houston several weeks prior. In a special cast to allow him to play that night. Fans are going CRAZY. First qtr, Rebs look pretty good. Although Manning is not in real good playing shape, he starts well. Good scrambling. Passing is good. TD to Poole. Rebs lead at end of 1st. LSU leads narrowly at the half. SECOND HALF? Rebs couldn't pour piss out of a boot with directions on the heel!!!!!!!!!!!! If they punted, LSU ran it all the way back. If they fumbled, LSU scored on 1st or 2nd play. LSU fans knew that if the Tigers won, it was Orange Bowl time. Oranges being thrown from everywhere. My date and I were laughing our asses off. Yelling, "I sure am glad you guys aren't going to the Gator Bowl!!!!!!!!!!" Some cajun surely would have found a way to throw a gator out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Football - I've seen so many great games it's hard to narrow it to just one. But winning the NC over OU in 2003 would have to be it because it's the crown jewel. Basketball - the Anthony Wilson put back to keep the Tigers on to the road to the Final 4. A close second was the Chris Jackson vs. Gerald Glass scoring clinic where both scored over 50. But for older Tiger fans, I imagine just watching Pistol Pete play was special in itself. Baseball - Obviously the NC title games and Warren Morris' homer, but the one for me was beating A&M in College Station in a dire straits situation to win the regionals and go to the CWS. Mostly because I hate A&M so much.
