Sorry it had to end like that. There were a lot of bad calls, but you got the 'big one'. I hate that it had to come to that. That is the hardest hitting from 2 teams I have ever seen. Both played their hearts out. I wish it could have been decided on the field. Good luck the rest of the season.
I think most LSU fans will agree. But thanks for making your first post one that represents your school well!
Yes, the bad calls were truly a disservice to both sets of athletes. The game SHOULD have been decided by the players, not the officials.
You aren't there yet Bubba. Don't count your chickens. A couple of key injuries and you will be singing a different tune.
First, congratulations on a great game! We both played well, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Second, you have the inside track to Atlanta, and we need help, and we'll hope to get that help and try to make it to Atlanta ourselves. Our season did not end today. If you do get to Atlanta, Kick so Eastern Division booty!
Auburn is clearly a strong team, and I was fully prepared to acknowledge that they were simply better than LSU today, even with the disproportionate number of questionable calls that went AU's way. The "big one", as you call it, took all that away. You had two national championship contention teams knocking the snot out of each other for 60 minutes, and the refs had way too much of an influence in the outcome. No disrespect to Auburn, because they played their butts off, but to me, this will always be "the game the refs stole."
Be sure to bring those refs again... Oh when your there look to your auburn fan next to you and say. "Man are we lucky to be here" Fact is AU is a great darn football team, as is LSU. Its shame the game couldnt have been decided on the field.
Ignore that guy. He's been quite a little punk on some other boards. It will not be long before he is banned from here. As a matter of fact, if I was a mod :yelwink2: , I'd go ahead and ban him now.
